Multi-expertise collaboration to study regional ozone & smog control

19 September 2022 - IENV has been collaborating with the atmospheric research teams from HKUST, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University as well as the international experts and atmospheric research teams including those in Guangdong and Macao to study and develop science-based regional ozone and photochemical smog control strategies led by the HKSAR Environmental Protection Department.

 

The initiative is targeted for improving the quantitative understanding of different emission sources contributing to the formation of ozone and smog in the atmosphere, their transport pathways, and their enroute transformation processes over Hong Kong and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Clean Air Challenge: nurtures young talents for a cleaner air & sustainable future

20 August 2022 - IENV and Clean Air Network has jointly organized Clean Air Challenge, a territory-wide student engagement STEAM campaign since October 2021, aiming to enhance the youth empowerment and raise environmental health literacy on air quality. At the Awards Ceremony, 19 awards were presented in recognition of the students’ undue hard work to anticipate innovative ideas to address air pollution issues. IENV at ReThink Hong Kong 2022

5-6 October 2022 - Come to meet us and learn about the latest development of PRAISE-HK at Booth No. A07 at ReThink Hong Kong 2022. Prof. Christine Loh and Dr. Benjamin Steuer from IENV will also speak at the event conference and share their perspectives on Hong Kong's sustainability and Net-zero future.
